The Grundy County Health Council is excited to take part in a state-wide effort to encourage the development of healthier communities.
The Activ8 Grundy Committee works toward fulfilling Grundy County's Healthier Tennessee Community designation, awarded by the Governor’s Foundation for Health and Wellness to cities and counties in Tennessee making strides in improving the health of their residents. In collaboration with the Health Council and the Grundy County Mayor’s Office, the Activ8 Grundy committee has developed programs such as healthy cooking classes, tobacco prevention campaigns, school garden curricula, hydration initiatives, and walking and running clubs. Activ8 Grundy has recently partnered with the Grundy County Mayor's Office to offer a series of "Walks with the Mayor," which highlight all that Grundy County has to offer.
Activ8 Grundy meets at 10:30 AM on the third Tuesday of every month at University of Tennessee Extension office (27 Phipps Street, Coalmont). Everyone is welcome to attend!
